Reporting Intelligence 2026 Release Notes

This topic contains Reporting Intelligence updates.

26.3

The following changes were introduced in this release:

Reporting Intelligence Platform

New Features

  • Added the following buttons:
    • Back to Top - on the Rules, AI Insights, and Results list views in the Intelligence Layer, visible when the user scrolls to the bottom of the page.
    • Clear Filters - to the Configure and Results views of the Intelligence Layer, allowing all active filters to be reset in a single action.

Improvements

  • The Delivery Preferences page now displays a warning when navigating away with unsaved changes, giving users the option to stay and keep their changes or continue and discard them.
  • Added graceful in-app handling when a previously configured SharePoint site or drive becomes inaccessible. The application now displays a clear message and guides admins through the recovery path instead of silently failing.
  • The subscription toggle now displays in a disabled state when a rule's notifications are turned off for all subscribers, making the rule's notification status immediately visible.
  • Rules in the Intelligence Layer are now ordered by creation date instead of last modified date, preventing the list from reordering unexpectedly due to background edits.
  • The Duplicate option has been removed from the rule context menu.
  • When a new rule is created, the associated report now runs automatically and the user is navigated directly to the newly created rule.
  • Reports now run automatically after upload, removing the need to manually trigger a run before creating a rule.
  • The Create Business View option has been moved to the top of the report context menu for quicker access.
  • Designer license users can now configure SharePoint settings in addition to Admin license users.
  • Rules associated with a deleted report are now automatically removed, eliminating orphaned rules and requiring no manual cleanup.
  • The Reporting Intelligence Admin tab in the Office Online add-in has been renamed to Lineos.
  • The Clear All button on the Results filter is now displayed whenever one or more filters are active, and hidden when no filters are selected.
  • Rule and report execution status updates are now delivered in real time using Redis-based push notifications, reducing the delay between a result becoming available and appearing in the UI.
  • The empty state message on the Intelligence Layer Results tab now clearly communicates that no results were found for the current filters and date range, and suggests next steps.
  • The system now stores the report ID at rule creation time, ensuring associated rules and related objects are reliably cleaned up when a report is deleted.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where attempting to create a rule with a duplicate name returned a generic error instead of a descriptive message.
  • Fixed an issue where Business View timestamps always displayed in UTC, ignoring the user's profile timezone setting.
  • Fixed an issue where the email digest resend endpoint silently returned an empty result when the schedule date was submitted without timezone information.
  • Fixed an issue where the previous owner remained on the subscriber list after rule ownership was transferred to another user.
  • Fixed an issue where adhoc queries failed when the first profile in the list did not exist, even if a valid profile was available further down the list.
  • Fixed an issue where the AI Analysis engine reported row counts lower than the actual number of records in the data source.
  • Fixed an issue where the history section on the Rule detail page was incorrectly labeled Rules History instead of Results History.
  • Fixed an issue where the Run button was not visible when selecting a large number of reports to run simultaneously.
  • Fixed an issue where icon and avatar colors in the Share Report, Report Options, Move Reports, and Change Ownership modals were inconsistent with the Design System 2.0 specification.
  • Fixed an issue where the result creator was not displayed in dashboard notifications for insight-type results. (UFE-1741)
  • Fixed an issue where users could not return to design mode in the Excel Online add-in, and adding NL functions in design mode returned a "No data sources found" error. (UFE-1865)
  • Fixed an issue where running multiple reports simultaneously caused some reports to remain indefinitely stuck in a running state. (UFE-1936)
  • Removed the non-functional Name and Description fields from the multi-report upload form. (UFE-1952)

Reporting Intelligence for Excel Online

New Features

  • Added Execute Reports support, enabling GXE and GEXD formulas to insert results where the formula parameters specify. Doesn't apply to MS 365 BC Cloud ERP.
  • Added support for the following formulas. Doesn't apply to MS 365 BC Cloud ERP:
    • GEXD (Query Detail), including Drill Down and Execute Reports behavior.
    • GEXS (Query Select), including Drill Down and the parameter selector UI.
    • GEXI (Query Inquiry), including Drill Down behavior.
    • GXE (Expand Detail), allowing users to expand drill-down detail into a worksheet, named table, or named range via Execute Reports.
    • SsTimestamp and SS_ValueListFromRange.
  • Added Drill Down support to the Excel Online add-in, inserting tabular results into a new worksheet as an Excel table. Doesn't apply to MS 365 BC Cloud ERP
  • The Excel Online add-in ribbon now shows only the icons relevant to the user's license and connection type. Icons for desktop-only functionality display a prompt to open the Desktop add-in instead.
  • Formula API error messages in Excel Online cells are now sanitized to display short, clear messages without exposing internal system details such as stack traces or service names.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where the Excel Online add-in ribbon reset to an unauthenticated state after a page refresh, requiring manual re-authentication.

Reporting Intelligence for Other ERPs

New Features

  • Added Lineos branding across the desktop installation and application experience, including installer and tool splash screens, the license agreement screen, window title bars, and the Windows taskbar icon. Reporting Intelligence remains the product name throughout.
  • Data Hub connections now appear automatically in the Reporting Intelligence for Other ERPs Excel add-in, with no manual re-entry required.
  • Data Hub connections are now available throughout Query Designer connection workflows, including Test Connections, Change Connection, and Update All Query Connections.
  • Reporting Intelligence for Other ERPs Online now offers a Download Desktop Excel Add-in option, allowing users to download and launch the installer directly from the product.
  • Added 13 new ERPs to the Reporting Intelligence for Other ERPs installer's ERP list, including Oracle EBS, Viewpoint Vista On-Premise, Viewpoint Spectrum, MRI Platform X On-Premise, MRI Horizon, Oracle JDE, Yardi Voyager On-Premise, Syspro, Deltek Vision, Davisware, Sage 100, Sage 300, and Sage 500.

Data Hub

New Features

  • Added support for connecting to NetSuite using OAuth 2.0, in addition to Token-Based Authentication (TBA). Select your authentication method from the new Auth Type field on the Connect tab. OAuth 2.0 uses a client ID, certificate, and private key to request access automatically, so there is no long-lived token to store or manage. Existing NetSuite connections continue to work without any changes. Switching to OAuth 2.0 is optional, and you don't need to re-enter your current credentials unless you choose to switch. For more information, see Connect to NetSuite.
  • Added the Environment column on the Connections page. This column links to the replication environment for each connection, so you can go straight to its replication tasks. For more information, see Manage Connections.

26.2.1

New Features

  • Added the possibility to automatically configure SharePoint storage. For more information, see Configure SharePoint Storage for Reports Center.

26.2

Reporting Intelligence 26.1 and 26.2 are closely paired releases. Version 26.1 introduces the agentic layer that monitors your reports and flags what deserves attention. Version 26.2 delivers the unified product experience, guided onboarding, and broader ERP support. Together, they mark the first full release of Reporting Intelligence as a single, connected experience for the Office of the CFO.

Note:

insightsoftware rolls out Reporting Intelligence capabilities progressively through controlled feature releases. Availability of specific features may vary by customer, license tier, and connected ERP, and some capabilities continue to expand in later releases. Contact your insightsoftware account team to confirm what is available for your organization.

Version 26.2 consolidates Reporting Intelligence into a single product with one place to sign in, set up, and work:

  • One home for your daily work. After you sign in, you land on a personalized dashboard shaped around your role and recent activity, with unified navigation to reporting, dashboards, licensing, and support. You no longer move between separate tools or portals.
  • Guided setup wizard. The wizard launches automatically for the first administrator and walks you through confirming your organization details, connecting your ERP, and inviting your team:
    • Organization details are prefilled from your account, which cuts down on manual entry.
    • A progress indicator tracks every stage, and you can save your work and resume later.
    • A completion summary confirms your setup and points you into your dashboard.
  • ERP connection and data replication. Choose a direct connection for a quick start, or replicated data for faster performance, complete historical data, and shared access across your team:
    • ERP-specific instructions cover service accounts and credentials, and a built-in connection test confirms everything works before you continue.
    • Replication runs in the background so you can keep working. A status indicator shows progress, and Reporting Intelligence emails you when your data is ready.
    • If something needs attention, Reporting Intelligence tells you what to do next.
  • Reporting in the browser with Office Online. Excel-based reporting from insightsoftware, including Jet, Spreadsheet Server, Wands for Oracle, Wands for SAP, and Atlas, now works in Office Online. Open a worksheet from any device through a web browser and view live data with a consistent add-in experience across products. Use Open in Desktop App for advanced tasks that require the full feature set.
  • Built-in help. The Customer Resource Center is embedded in the product. A help panel opens from any page and offers search and context-aware articles, so you can find answers without leaving your workflow.
  • User and license management. Administrators no longer need a separate console. From within the product, you can view available licenses, invite team members individually or in bulk, assign license tiers, and designate additional administrators.
  • Single sign-on from the insightsoftware community. Community participants use the same sign-in credentials when they become customers, so their identity and history stay intact.
  • Expanded ERP support. Report support now extends to additional cloud ERPs connected through Cloud Connector, broadening the range of customers and data sources that can use the integrated reporting experience.

26.1

Version 26.1 brings reporting inside the product and adds the first agentic capabilities:

  • Reports Center. Reporting Intelligence now includes the reporting experience rather than sending you to a separate destination. View, filter, and manage reports inside the product through a refreshed, consistent interface. This foundation supports the agentic capabilities below.
  • Rule Agent. The agent monitors your financial reports and flags time-sensitive events, so you can act quickly instead of watching your data continuously. It serves finance professionals such as CFOs, controllers, and analysts:
    • Configure thresholds and choose from multiple trigger types, including threshold breaches, variances, trend deviations, and calendar-based events.
    • A four-tier priority system makes the most critical items stand out.
    • Alerts appear on your home dashboard and in a dedicated alerts view, each with context explaining what triggered the alert and why.
    • Snooze alerts, adjust sensitivity, and share them with colleagues in your organization.
    • Agents run against the reports you have access to and respect the permissions and data boundaries already in place for your account.
  • Insights and Recommendations. Reporting Intelligence analyzes your report data automatically and pulls the findings together, identifying items worth investigating that you might not have thought to look for. Insights appear in plain language with the reasoning behind them, so you can move from understanding to action. These capabilities are part of the Lineos family, AI powered by insightsoftware.
